I love the taste. GT's Kombucha comes in all kinds of flavors. You can get it at Whole Foods and Sevananda but it's expensive. That's why I started making my own.

Yeah....it also says you have to be over 18 and lists about twenty other warnings:
"have a family history of, heart disease, thyroid disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, depression or other psychiatric condition, glaucoma, difficulty in urinating, prostate enlargement, or seizure disorder, or if you are using a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) or any other dietary supplement, prescription drug"

Check out this guy's blog and the responses:
http://tellhimfred.com/2006/06/22/redline-energ...

Sean and I have drank those Redline drinks on several occasions... that shit is insane. I love the one warning on the bottle that tells you to stay out of sunlight after drinking it. We've mixed these drinks with vodka with some pretty crazy results. I wouldn't want to do anything even close to work after drinking a bottle of that shit.

You should try some kombucha. I make my own. It definitely gives energy and it's as natural as it gets. Kombucha is also great for digestion, boosts your immune system, has anti-agning properties and some say it's a great hangover cure.

I agree that eating right can be difficult at the studio, but it is possible, and I think we (the Wizkids) do a decent job of it for the most part.

I'd say the biggest factor that affects my focus and energy is my sleeping patterns. If I've had a decent night's sleep or even a nap during the day, a little bit of coffee or a soda will set me straight for hours. But we don't sleep much 'round these here parts.

About alcohol, when we've been tracking particular bands (like, say, Horrible Idea), beer has helped tremendously. Right guys?

Hi Jim,

I'm not directly associated with the company and the product. I met one of the co-founders through a friend and got some free samples that way and really liked it. Since then I just bought the product online through their website at www.moodboostdrink.com. I'd try to contact them and maybe they would send you a couple free samples. Couldn't hurt to try.

That's some good advice. I definitely feel like there is an industry trend focused on providing an immediate energy "high" or euphoria, rather then marketing more products that really provide long-term energy (like clif bars). People generally won't admit it, but they are buying these products like drugs, for the same near-instant euphoric effect. And caffeine is as much of a drug as anything else, with both physical and psychological addictions. I don't necessarily have a problem with this, as I am guilty of wanting that "high." But I think everyone, myself included, would do well to sacrifice some short-term energy highs, for more long term energy that is naturally created. Of course, that would require some discipline........
